I did it!

I did it! I finally got my kids addicted to "Nerts!" It took a while, but here we are! It's so much fun that they're old enough to play games with us. Brianna is a natural, Emilee is just getting the hang of it, and Braden's here to have fun (he said he's only won twice, but once he cheated). The kids favorite line is, "just one more hand?" I remember using that line myself! This is the game I grew up with. My family would spend hours playing it. Now all we have to do is get the cousins hooked and we're ready for some serious card playing! Better sharpen your fingernails!

Happy Birthday Danni!

Danni turned 2 in February. I can't believe our baby is 2 already! She is such a joy in all of our lives. The kids adore her and are at her beck and call 24 hours a day. One of her favorite places to eat is Panda Express, so that's where she got to go for her birthday dinner. Rice and noodles are her favorite foods. She LOVES cupcakes, so we made cupcakes instead of a big cake. She wasn't sure what to think of the candles since everyone kept telling her don't touch, they're hot! That's kinda cruel to give her a cupcake, then tell her not to touch it!

Eventually, she did touch it...with every part of her body I think. She made quite the mess. She can't have dairy, so we found soy ice cream which she loves. It was a good day. The next day I gave her one of the leftover cupcakes, and she made me sing happy birthday to her before she would eat it!

She didn't get very exciting gifts for her birthday from mom and dad, she got books, clothes, and she did pick out one fun toy (a little tykes bus). Thank you Danni for coming to our home and blessing all of us with you. We love ya! Happy Birthday!

Okay, so I've been slacking a little (okay, a lot) lately in the blogging area...well, in most areas of my life. 2 months isn't very long to go without blogging is it? I have so much to catch up on, it's overwhelming. First thing's first, most everybody knows, but the reason I've been such a slacker is that we're expecting baby #5 in September. I'm about 15 weeks, so I'm finally starting to feel better. We're really excited, and very nervous about this new addition. Of course, Braden and Dad are crossing their fingers for a boy, but with our track record, I'm not holding my breath. I'm not really excited about being huge all summer long, but since this is our last...for sure...I can probably survive! There is so much going on with our family, I'll have to catch us up a little at time!
